NORWE Coilformers and components under development

SMD - Miniboxes

The horizontal toroid potting boxes of type fw and ft are up to date - they are essential within the constant growing demand on surface mount mini devices. The boxes with the terminal fw ensure a defined distance between potting box and pcb during the further processing. The winding on / soldering section of the terminals is accessible from the outside, they are easily positioned and the solderability and electrical tests are possible.

Boxes with the terminal ft The binding-on / soldering section of the terminal ft is at the top end which leaves the SMD side of the terminal free from tin. The boxes are suitable for low profile applications.

EE 5 to EE 16 SMD3-Coilformers

Completely new are the patented SMD3-coilformers EE 5 to EE 16. The coilformers are produced using LDS technology and do without any metal terminals. The connecting and winding surfaces are created by laser processing and electroplating. For a description of the LDS-process see the description of the LDS-process see the page "LDS Laser Direct Structuring".

The SMD3-coilformers - like the existing SMD2-coilformers - feature separate winding on and soldering sides, compatible accessories and allow automatic processing.
The new SMD-generation additionally impresses by optimal coplanarity, lower weight and excellent solder properties.
For initial testing the size EE 12,6 and EE 16 are already available and samples can be provided.

Snap-on Caps for SMD Coilformers

The spring-action Snap-on Cap allows a more advantageous and quick assembly of the SMD-coilformers with the cores in their correct positioning. The caps have openings at the sides which allows additional glueing. They have a smooth top and can be used for Pick and Place.

The snap-on caps are made in gfr Polyamide of Type eg7 (RTI long-range temperature +120°C). Special materials - e.g. irradiated cross-linked - and designs on request. Dimensions in mm.

NORWE QR-Code

It is no longer possible to imagine communications without QR-Code (Quick Response). Modern mobile phones and PDAs have a built-in camera and software to allow the interpretation of a QR-Code. What is known as Mobile Tagging allows fast, uncomplicated recording of information.

Normally, a QR-Code is a coded depiction of a web address. But as well as URLs, a QR-Code can also contain telephone numbers, addresses, data or text. They can be saved with a single click and can be used in all sorts of different ways.
