Our corporate policy

The foundation of all our activities is the UN Global Compact, which we have been actively supporting since 2020, focusing on subjects such as human rights, labour standards, environ- mental responsibility, and corruption.

Within all of the company’s activities, human beings take centre stage. Because only by this lived corporate philosophy, with open communication in all areas as a holistic NORWE team, NORWE is enabled to fulfil its corporate responsibility.

Within this framework, we document our annual progress publicly within the Global Compact. In addition, important processes within our NORWE system are confirmed by certificates. Particularly emphasized are quality assurance by ISO 9001, the traceability of plastic com- ponents is ensured through UL 746D, and environmental and occupational safety are covered by ISO 14001.

UN Global Compact

The United Nations Global Compact is the world’s largest and most important initiative for responsible company management. Based on the 10 universal principles derived from the 4 areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, the aim is to pursue a vision of an inclusive, sustainable global economy.

Since January 2020, NORWE has officially signed up to the UN Global Compact – which is a logical step as we have been living a policy of active, intensive environmental pro- tection for many years.

Even before the roll-out, we investigated the key areas of the UN Global Compact and the principles derived and implemented measures, primarily relating to environmental protection. However, in future, our commitment will increas- ingly focus on the other requirements of this initiative, which is voluntary for companies.

NORWE-System

NORWE-System

Our internal organisational structure and workflows are regulated by an efficient, integrated management system for quality and environmental. The quality of our services aligns with our customers’ expectations and is regularly adjusted to meet new customer requirements.

Reviewing and optimizing processes concerning quality, environmental protection, flexibility as well as efficiency continuously and targeted

If deviations occur, the causes are analysed, eliminated as quickly as possible and by taking appropriate measures avoided in the future.

Encouraging and increasing sensitivity and aware- ness of quality and the environment – this starts with the individual and in one’s own workspace

All employees have a customer and supplier relationship. Ongoing evaluation provides us with key information for im- plementing continuous improvements. Raising awareness of compliance with quality requirements, safety regulations, pre- scribed processes and order and cleanliness in the workplace serve as the foundation of labour safety and receive targeted promotion - for this purpose, sufficient working time resourc- es are provided. In addition, a high level of attention is paid to the specialised instruction and training of our employees.

Compliance with all binding obligations and Compliance with our own guidelines within the UN Global Compact and NORWE system

For NORWE, it is a matter of course to fulfil all binding obligations and the requirements we have set ourselves out of the UN Global Compact and the NORWE system and if possible, to exceed them. Unnecessary risks are avoided in day-to-day work concerning quality as well as labour safety and environmental protection. As part of the integrated quality and environmental management system, the management therefore analyses potential risks, but also opportunities for our business activities, evaluates them and initiates suitable measures where necessary. Quality also relies on the punctu- al delivery capability of our purchasing partners. As part of a risk evaluation, relevant purchased items are therefore critical- ly reviewed and qualified alternative suppliers are included as a precautionary measure. Certification in accordance with UL 746D means that we are obliged to ensure complete traceabil- ity at any time of the plastic materials used – this enables us to fulfil the further UL listings for our customers’ products.

With the introduction of an environmental manage- ment system and certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001, all NORWE business units and their employees have committed themselves to environmental protection

Environmental awareness and environmentally conscious behaviour, compliance with safety regulations, compliance with procedures, but also order and cleanliness in the work- space depend on each individual employee. With information and motivation, it is important to promote awareness and constant improvement.
