EFD coil formers are winding bodies for Economic Flat Design ferrite core geometries. They are developed for transformer applications where low construction height and compact PCB integration are required.
z6 versions use straight press-fit z6 solder pins and are suitable for radial wire termination with very short soldering times for thin wires. z8 versions use stable z8 solder pins and are suitable for particularly thick wires.
Depending on the variant, NORWE uses PET rtg natural with RTI +155°C or PA66 A3X2G10 with RTI +115°C. Special materials and radiation cross-linked versions are available on request.
EFD potting housings are designed for standard EFD coil formers with z6 or z8 solder pins and support protected, encapsulated EFD transformer assemblies.
SB-EFD clamping brackets are steel components used to hold EFD ferrite core halves together. One bracket is required per core set and coil former.
Spacer elements create defined distance to the printed circuit board and help prevent blind soldering caused by covered PCB holes.
