Soldering Resistance

z6 versions support maximum soldering temperature 300/350°C up to 2 seconds; z8 versions support +350°C up to 2 seconds

Pin Materials

Tin bronze, tin-plated solder pins

Design System

EFD coil formers with z6 solder pins, EFD coil formers with z8 solder pins, EFD potting housings and SB-EFD clamping brackets

Special Materials

Radiation cross-linked thermoplastic materials are recommended for high-temperature soldering processes and available on request

EFD ferrite cores are based on the classic E-series but use a flattened, lower center leg

The winding structure is embedded inside the coil former and ferrite core halves

z6 solder pin versions support radial wire termination and very short soldering times for thin wires

Wire guidance and strain relief pins support reliable winding and connection handling

Spacer elements to the printed circuit board help prevent blind soldering caused by covered PCB holes
