The NORWE manufacturing programme contains a large range of boxes - with different pinning methods - suitable for potting electrical and electronic components. We supply components made in high quality thermoplastics, matching your production requirements.

Our extensive range of modular tooling allows almost unlimited constructional changes to customers specification, often by simple changes of tool inserts. In addition, our modular tooling system allows short tooling times, and is also cost-effective.

All dimensions in mm/inch. The permissible deviations according to DIN 16901 apply as tolerances.

The potting boxes are made in gfr Polyamide PA66 of Type p6g (RTI long-range temperature +125°C). Pin material: tin bronze, tinned. Pin material is tin bronze, tinned. Maximum solder temperature 350°C, 2 sec. Special materials -e.g. irradiated cross-linked- and designs on request, dimensions in mm/inch.

Potting boxes for PCB mounting of toroidal cores. Depending on how the pins are fitted, the box can be pcb mounted potting side up or down. If there are no specific instructions, side A will be supplied.

Vertical Potting Box (VB)

The potting boxes are made in gfr Polyamide PA66 of type p6g (RTI long-range temperature +125°C) and CR-A3H2G6,black (RTI long-range temperature +110°C). Pin material: tin bronze, tinned. Maximum solder temperature 350°C, 2 sec. Special materials -e.g. irradiated cross-linked- and designs on request, dimensions in mm/inch.

VB 10,0 - VB 35,0

Toroidal Core Potting Box (RH)

The potting boxes are made in gfr Polyamide PA66 of type p6g (RTI long-range temperature +125°C). Pin material: tin bronze, tinned. Maximum solder temperature 350°C, 2 sec. Special materials -e.g. irradiated cross-linked- and designs on request, dimensions in mm/inch.

Potting boxes in half height design for glueing and half potting. Easy wire routing through external grooves. "Stand offs" on the bottom of the boxes avoid cold-solder joints into the pcb.

Potting boxes designed for full potting. Easy wire routing through external grooves. "Stand offs" on the bottom of the boxes avoid cold-solder joints into the pcb. Plastic covers which can be stamped are available.

Horizontal Potting Box (H-RG) for pcb mounting

The potting boxes are made in gfr Polyphenylene Sulfide PPS of type torA504 (RTI long-range temperature +130°C). Pin material: tin bronze, tinned. Maximum solder temperature 350°C, 2 sec. Special materials -e.g. irradiated cross-linked- and designs on request, dimensions in mm/inch.

Boxes for pcbs, suitable for filter chokes or ISDN components. Depending on the box-type the solder pins have a cross-section of 0,6 x 0,25 mm (0.023 x 0.010 inch) and 0,6 x 0,4 mm (0.023 x 0.016 inch). The design features "stand offs" to the pcb to eliminate cold soldering, or can be used as positioning aid.

Toroidal Core Pin-Plate (RK-LP)

The pin-plates are made in gfr Polyamide PA66 of type p6g (RTI long-range temperature +125°C). Pin material: tin bronze, tinned. Maximum solder temperature 350°C, 2 sec. Special materials -e.g. irradiated cross-linked- and designs on request, dimensions in mm/inch.

Pin-plate with centre hole suitable to carry the toroidal core. The hole allows a potting in the box and guidance of the wires (for standard pinning on side N). The pin-plates feature a great number of pin-holes. Thus the pins can be fitted to your special requirements. A suitable potting box RK-VG is available.

RK-LP 7,5 - RK-LP 35,5

DIL - Sockets with Stand-offs

The sockets are made in gfr Polybutylene Terephthalate PBT of type pcg (RTI long-range temperature +130°C). Solder-tag material is brass tinned and solder-pin material is tin bronze, Maximum solder temperature 350°C, 2 sec. Special materials -e.g. irradiated cross-linked- and designs on request, dimensions in mm/inch.

DIL-Sockets (Dual-In-Line) are suitable for complex circuits such as logic circuits, resistor networks or diode matrix. The sockets feature "stand-offs" which allow clean soldering of the wires and of the sockets onto the pcb. A suitable DIL-Box is available.

DIL - Boxes

The boxes are made in gfr Polybutylene Terephthalate PBT of type pcg (RTI long-range temperature +130°C). Special materials and designs on request, dimensions in mm/inch.

The boxes are available in two heights, dimensions to match DIL-Sockets. They feature a cornermarking which allows an easy assembly with the sockets and can be used as an orientation to the pcb.
